TRUSTEE/VILLAGE OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS
The
C.U.P.A.C. is an ad hoc committee which was established in June of 2005. The
Comprehensive Utilities Plan process involves a variety of planning and
policy decisions which will shape the future of development in the Sister
Bay area. The need for sanitary sewer system extensions, adequate water
supplies and protection of the surface water and property will grow over
time, and the C.U.P.A.C. will assess existing deficiencies and plans for the
future.

William Schuster - Door County Soil & Water Department DOOR COUNTY TOURISM ZONE COMMISSION In April of 2007 ten municipalities - the Villages of Sister Bay, Egg Harbor and Ephraim, and the Towns of Gibraltar, Baileys Harbor, Egg Harbor, Jacksonport, Sevastopol, Nasewaupee and Liberty Grove, banned together to form the Door County Tourism Zone Commission pursuant to Wis. Stats., 66.0615. The Village's enabling Ordinance - No. 123-121206, created Sections 18.1 - 18.9 of the Municipal Code. The mission of the Door County Tourism Zone Commission is to collect room tax on behalf of its member municipalities in a fair and efficient manner. The Commission also works in partnership with the Door County Visitor Bureau to support its marketing efforts pertaining to tourism promotion and development. Based upon annual room tax collections the Village is entitled to have two representatives on the Tourism Zone Commission. Robert Kufrin - Member
Nora Zacek - Second Member FIRE BOARD One year terms commencing in May of each year. Membership: Two Trustees from Sister Bay and three Supervisors from Liberty Grove. Created pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement dated 9/13/94 between the Town of Liberty Grove and the Village of Sister Bay. The duty of the Fire Commission is to oversee the operations of the Sister Bay/ Liberty Grove Fire Department.

Robert Tidball, Liberty Grove Supervisor LIBRARY COMMISSION Three year terms commencing in May of each year. Membership: One Village Trustee, one Supervisor from the Town of Liberty Grove, two Village residents, and two Town residents. The Library Commission was created pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement dated 6/12/01 between the Village of Sister Bay and the Town of Liberty Grove. The duty of the Library Commission is to oversee the operations of the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Library, and to make recommendations to the appropriate Board(s) regarding said operations. of Liberty Grove Supervisor MARINA COMMITTEE One year terms commencing in May of each year. Membership: Three Trustees and four citizens - three regular members and one alternate member. The Marina Committee is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Village of Sister Bay Marina.

Non-voting member MARINA FEST COMMITTEEMarina Fest is a Village-sponsored event which takes place on an annual basis and is always held on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. The Marina Festival Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating all activities associated with Marina Festival.

Trustee/Liaison MUNICIPAL TAXPAYERS COMMISSIONThe Municipal Taxpayers Commission was created pursuant to an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Village of Ephraim, the Village of Sister Bay, the Town of Gibraltar, the Town of Baileys Harbor, the Town of Washington, the Town of Liberty Grove, the Town of Sevastopol, and the Village of Egg Harbor in 2002. In that agreement all the member municipalities agreed to cooperate and jointly exercise their municipal powers to modify, reduce, or eliminate the tax imposed for the support of the Technical College system under Wis. Stats., §38.16, through lobbying for changes in the law, legal action, or other appropriate means.

The Plan Commission was established pursuant to the provisions of
Wis.
Stats. §62.23(1)(a) and §62.23(1)(d). The Commission has
the duty of making decisions related to the planning and development of
the Village, and in some instances makes recommendations to public
officials or agencies, as well as public utility companies, and/or civic,
educational, professional or other organizations and citizens.

Marge Grutzmacher - 2014 SISTER BAY TEEN CENTER BOARD One year terms commencing in May of each year. The Sister Bay Teen Center Board was created as a standing Village Committee in October of 2007, and is responsible for planning, preparing and operating a Teen Center and related activities in the lower level of the Sister Bay Village Hall. Membership: One Trustee as a liaison member and eight citizens who are residents of the Village. The Teen Center Board shall consist of five voting members and three alternates. Elisabeth Moriarty TERESA K. HILANDER ICE RINK COMMITTEE One year terms commencing in May of each year. Membership: One Trustee and nine citizens. Created by Resolution No. 138-122105. (Members must either have been TKH Board members as of the date of adoption of said Resolution, residents of the Village, or active TKH Ice Rink volunteers.) The members of the TKH Committee shall elect its officers, including the Chairperson. The duty of the TKH Committee is to oversee the operations of the TKH Ice Rink.

There are currently two vacancies on the TKH Committee. UTILITIES COMMISSION One year terms commencing in May of each year. Membership: Five members - Three from the Village, one from the Liberty Grove Sanitary District and one from the Town of Liberty Grove. The Utilities Commission was established pursuant to Section 14 of an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Liberty Grove and the Village which is dated December 19, 1988.

Steve Jacobson, Non-voting member ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS Three year terms, staggered, commencing in May of each year. Membership: Five members plus two alternates. The Zoning Board of Appeals was established for the purpose of hearing appeals and applications, and for granting variances and exceptions to the provisions of the Village’s Zoning Code.
